Mac or PC?

I have been having an internal debate for the past year about the best computer to invest in. I have had a PC for years, but grew up on Macs, and want to know what the rest of the class prefers.

I know the benefits of both, and I'm sure all you Mac users disagree with me, but I am still unsure if I want to spend the money on a superior design machine.

I would really be interested in hearing from those who have recently switched, and want to know if there is an immediate difference in performance and display. It is important to me to have a machine that will allow me to do everything I need, but also have a large screen so I can easily do the detailed work that I enjoy doing.

Thank you for your feedback!

  1. I love my mac. In fact, I probably have an unhealthy attachment to my laptop. I call it my "baby" and take it almost everywhere with me. So, with that being said, I would say you should get a mac :) They are great to use for design work, which would be helpful in this program.

I got my first one when I went off to college and it was great. I never had any problems with it and it lasted me 5 years before I got my new one. It was still going strong but I just wanted an upgrade. I have heard horror stories from friends with PC's about them crashing and getting viruses, but that has never been a problem with my computer.

So, my vote is for mac, but if you are comfortable with a PC and everything is going well with that, then stick with it!

  2. From someone that uses both Mac and PC, I prefer MACs. Its smoother and more user friendly.
